⭐ NMLL All-Star Overview

All-Stars is an exciting opportunity for North Metro Little League baseball and softball players to continue play into the summer at a higher level of competition. The journey begins with the local District 2 Tournament (which includes 12 leagues, including North Metro LL). Winning teams can advance to StateRegionals, and even the Little League World Series in August (broadcast on ESPN).


πŸ”‘ Selection Process

All-Star teams are formed to be as competitive as possible, based on eligible and available players.

Steps to selection:

  1. Coach nominate players to try out

  2. Player registration via commitment form

  3. Tryouts

  4. Selection by the NMLLPresident/Player Agent - based off of combined tryout evaluations

  5. Managers assigned once rosters are finalized - manager with the best record in the regular season will be offered the coaching position

  • Players will be selected based off of talent, sportsmanship, and attendance (regular season practice/game attendance and availability during the All-Star season.)

  • Teams cannot be formally selected before May 15.

  • Teams are typically announced the first week of June.

  • Practices may begin the following week.

  • The District Tournament usually starts late June or early July, depending on division..


πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Commitment & Schedule

  • Practices: 2–5 days/week in June–July (depending on field availability & coaching staff).

  • Players are expected to commit fully to practices, games, and team events.

  • District tournaments are double elimination.

  • Progression: District β†’ State β†’ Regionals β†’ Little League World Series (for Majors, Intermediate 50/70, and Juniors).


πŸ’΅ Fees & Player Requirements

  • Fee: $150 (includes jersey, patch, belt, socks, and cap).

  • Eligibility: Player must have participated in at least 75% of their regular season games, be able to attend all All-Star team practices and attend all All-Star games.

  • Paperwork:

    • Birth certificate (hospital certificates not accepted)

    • 3 forms of proof of residency (must be dated within approved range, in triplicate)


⚾ All-Star Teams & Eligibility (Baseball, 2026)

Juniors (Ages 12–14)

  • Must have played in 75% of Juniors games.

  • One team allowed.

Intermediate (50/70) (Ages 11–13)

  • Must have played in 75% of Intermediate games.

  • One team allowed.

Majors (Ages 10–12)

  • Must have played in 75% of Majors games.

  • One team allowed.

9–11 All-Stars

  • Ages 9–11. Must have played in 75% of Minors (Player Pitch) or Majors games.

  • One team allowed.

8–10 All-Stars

  • Ages 8–10. Must have played in 75% of Minors (Player Pitch) or Majors games.

  • One team allowed.

Notes:

  • Teams typically have 12 players (max 14).

  • Younger teams (8–10 & 9–11) usually have the largest pools of players.

  • Teams will not be formed if sufficient talent is unavailable.
