Girls Softball Program
North Metro Softball has grown from 3 players to 68 players in the last two years. We reinforce the basic skills along with increased competitive teams. This year we are offering four divisions of softball:
Coach Pitch, Minors, Majors, and Juniors. North Metro Softball hosted the District 2 Tournament at the Valley View Fields. Last year's Minors All Star team finished second place in the District 2 Tournament. Last year's Major's All Star team finished
third place in the District 2 Tournament. several of our players have been
accepted to competitive teams in the area.
Coach Pitch (New this Year) Ages 7 and 8. Will play other baseball Coach Pitch
teams, but use a softball and have a team of girls. We need a coach. Will
teach basics of pitching and players hit using the windmill motion. This program will give the players an opportunity to learn the game of softball.
Minors Girls - Ages 9 and 10. Teach basic skills with an emphasis on
fundamentals and pitching concepts. Need one coach.
Major Girls - Ages 11 and 12. Teach basic softball strategies along with intermediate skills. This level has become more competitive. Need one coach.
Junior Girls - Ages 13 and 14. We combined with Northern Lights last year. Would like to have our own team. Need one coach.

I propose the following criteria be added to the list.
Softball Program Advancement of Levels Girls must play in their own age division. In order to place a level higher, all of the following criteria must be met:
1. The division has an opening.
2. The Player is only year in age below their requested level.
2. The parents make a request.
3. The player has been an All Star player the previous year.
4. The player tries out and is approved by the next level coaches and Softball Director.
5. Depending on the level, the player may not be eligible for All Star play.
